Description of our Consultations:
- Process-oriented presentations by small group case conference members, facilitated by an NCPPP faculty member. Meets (currently) 2 times per month during the academic year 2025-2026.
- Fee structure: Effective fall of 2027, we ask participants to join Nashville Center for Psychoanalysis and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, $125 per year. There is no fee to participate; those interested are asked to meet with a facilitator prior to joining.
Participants are asked to:
- Attend consistently (important for group learning), develop individual psychodynamic learning goals (eg. identify countertransference, transference, and character defenses used in treatment), share group time with others and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Be engaged in their own psychodynamic therapy cases, and to be prepared to present their work to a small group of professional peers, at a frequency negotiated by the group, and share time with others.
- It is suggested that participants participate in their own psychodynamic or psychoanalytic therapy process as well.
